His father, Jahangir Khan, had played Test cricket for the Indian cricket team. Majid Khan had started as a pace bowler, but an injury and doubts over his technique converted him into an off-spin bowler and batsman. He also played for the teams of Glamorgan and Cambridge University in England, for Queensland, Australia, and in Pakistan for Pakistan International Airlines, Rawalpindi and the province of Punjab.

Izhar Hussain (Interview) Mr. Izhar Awan, an unsung hero, the founder Chairman of the IRADAH Centre, departed us for the hereafter on 4 October 2008. He was buried in the IRADAH Centre (Buchal Kalan).

A. examination with distinction and Punjab University awarded him gold medal. His both legs right hand and four fingers of left hand were amputated in 1992 because of gangrene.

He convinced and involved a group of dedicated persons to establish a voluntary organization for the rehabilitation of the disabled named as Initiative for Raising Awareness Development and Assimilation of the Handicapped abbreviated as IRADAH. He was elected founding president of IRADAH.

Ijaz-ul-Haq (Interview)
Ijaz-ul-Haq (Interview) Muhammad Ijaz-ul-Haq:(born 1953) is a prominent Pakistani politician and former Federal Minister for Religious Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Entering Pakistani politics following the 1988 death of his father, President of Pakistan General Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq, Ijaz held a senior federal ministry within the cabinet of General Zia's civilian successor Nawaz Sharif as well as the Senior Presidency of the Pakistan Muslim League (Q) during its second tenure in the 1990s. He stepped down from the post following differences with Sharif, who was overthrown shortly afterwards by General Pervez Musharraf in 1999.
Ijaz was elected to the Pakistan National Assembly for a record fourth time in the 2002 general election, but he lost in the 2008 general election. Although she has been issued a discharge certificate, declaring her fully recovered both mentally and physically, the painful memory of her son untimely death coupled with the callousness of the entertainment industry towards her plight still lurks deep within her soul, tormenting her.
One of the finest acting talents in the country, Roohi Bano was admitted to the medical facility in 2005 for the treatment of schizophrenia. She has now recovered and says that the task of bringing to justice the culprits responsible for her son death is central to her.
Roohi Bano is known for possessing the rare quality of conveying feelings and expressions through her eyes. As an actress, she exercised full command over her emotions and knew how best to translate them into action and convert them into pieces of unforgettable drama. She says she desperately misses her co-stars of yesteryear such as Shafi Mohammad, Talat Hussain, Uzma Gillani and the late Tahira Naqvi
Roohi first television appearance was in a quiz show while she was still a student. Then, Farooq Zameer offered her a chance to act in plays which she accepted while continuing her studies for a Master degree in psychology from Government College, Lahore. She married twice and also acted in a few films but television was where she belonged, and it remained her first love.
Given the condition she was in before treatment, her recovery has been likened to her character in one of her famous long plays, Darwaza. In the play produced by Muhammad Nisar Hussian in the 1980s, she plays a TB patient who recovers miraculously.
Television had found a great actress in Roohi Bano and her repeatedly outstanding performances in Qila Kahani, Zard Gulab, Hairatkada, Darwaza, Kiran Kahani, along with several other serials and long plays, set her head and shoulders above her contemporaries. The sensitivity with which she played her roles made her popular across the country to the effect that many of Roohi's fans still remember her as a charming actress par excellence, who ruled the small screen for nearly two decades.

Peter Agre Nobel Prize in Chemistry (Interview) Peter Agre (born January 30, 1949) is an American medical doctor, professor, and molecular biologist who was awarded the 2003 Nobel Prize in Chemistry (which he shared with Roderick MacKinnon) for his discovery of aquaporins.Aquaporins are water-channel proteins that move water molecules through the cell membrane.
Born in Northfield, Minnesota, he received his B.A. from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, Minnesota and his M.D. in 1974 from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. He currently serves as the Vice Chancellor for science and technology at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC, where he guides the development of Duke's biomedical research. He was elected to membership in the National Academy of Sciences in 2000 and to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2003. He is also a founding member of Scientists and Engineers for America (SEA), and serves on its Board of Advisors.
Agre is an Eagle Scout and recipient of the Distinguished Eagle Scout Award (DESA).Both of his brothers are also physicians and Eagle Scouts. His son is an Eagle Scout too.
He also enjoys cross-country skiing and has participated in the Vasaloppet ski race.

Shoaib Akhter (Interview) Shoaib Akhtar (born 13 August 1975 in Rawalpindi, Punjab) is a Pakistani cricketer, widely recognized as the fastest bowler in the world, earning him the name Rawalpindi Express. A year later he was embroiled in a drug scandal after testing positive for a banned substance. However the ban imposed on him was lifted on appeal. In September 2007, Shoaib was banned by the PCB for an indefinite period for the alleged brawl with his team-mate Mohammad Asif.On 1 April 2008 Shoaib Akhtar was banned for 5 years.
