Izhar Hussain (Interview) Mr. Izhar Awan, an unsung hero, the founder Chairman of the IRADAH Centre, departed us for the hereafter on 4 October 2008. He was buried in the IRADAH Centre (Buchal Kalan).
Mr. Izhar Hussain Lecturer in Punjabi at Government College Buchal Kalan District Chakwal (Pakistan). In 1991 he passed his M. A. examination with distinction and Punjab University awarded him gold medal. His both legs right hand and four fingers of left hand were amputated in 1992 because of gangrene.
About five years he has been thinking how to reduce the difficulties and social problems of the disable of the area. He convinced and involved a group of dedicated persons to establish a voluntary organization for the rehabilitation of the disabled named as Initiative for Raising Awareness Development and Assimilation of the Handicapped abbreviated as IRADAH. He was elected founding president of IRADAH.
